<p>This opportunity is also focused on gaining approvals for major projects, maintaining and improving our client’s EMS, developing and delivering education, coaching individuals to manage environmental risks, managing specialist consultants as required  and ensuring compliance with our client’s Environmental Protection Licences.</p>
<p>To be short-listed for this role you will need to demonstrate some or all of the following criteria;</p>
<p>7+ years experience in Environmental Management role</p>
<p>A Degree relevant to the environmental industry. In addition to this a grounding in ecology and/or knowledge of gas fired power stations and industrial processes will be highly regarded.</p>
<p>Work experience in heavy industry, infrastructure, energy or mining.</p>
<p>A track record of dealing with government authorities to obtain environment and planning approvals</p>
<p>Experience in delivering training and improving environmental awareness.</p>

<p>This role will see the incumbent play a leading role in a wide variety hydrogeology projects.</p>
<p>Applicants with experience in some or all of the following areas will be looked upon favourably;</p>
<p>Design and supervision of groundwater monitoring programs</p>
<p>Conceptualization of groundwater regimes and associated issues;</p>
<p>Experience in mine hydrogeology;</p>
<p>Groundwater inflow assessment for pit and underground mines;</p>
<p>Mine dewatering projects</p>
<p>Mine closure and rehabilitation;</p>
<p>Groundwater modelling &#8211; conceptualisation, model data</p>
<p>Experience in the mining and/or consulting industry;</p>
<p>This role is based in our client&#8217;s the Hunter/Newcastle office and will involve some travel to mine sites in both the Hunter and WA.</p>

A strong understanding of the market for hydrogeological consultancy services in south Australia is preferred, or a successful track record of experience in other locations throughout the world is acceptable.</p>
<p>Your experience should include experience in technical hydrogeology work in the area of &#8220;clean water&#8221; or water resources hydrogeology rather than contaminant hydrogeology.</p>

<p>Assessment of noise impacts in accordance with state relevant standards and criteria;</p>
<p>Report preparation, suitable for display within the public arena</p>
<p>To be short-listed for this role applicants must have a sound understanding and demonstrated aptitude in the areas of noise issues identification, assessment principles and impact assessment processes.</p>
